
Thomas Dederichs
Head of System Development at Amprion
Thomas Dederichs has extensive and long-standing experience in the German and European energy sector – with a particular focus on energy networks, system development, and energy policy frameworks. After completing his interdisciplinary studies in electrical engineering and economics in Aachen and London, he began his professional career in 2007 as a research assistant in the field of energy technology at RWTH Aachen University.
Between 2012 and 2014, Thomas Dederichs worked as a consultant at the Federal Network Agency, focusing on network development planning, incentive regulation, and market design. He then took over as head of the Energy Networks department at the German Association of Energy and Water Industries (BDEW).
From 2017 to 2019, he worked as an energy policy advisor for the distribution networks division at innogy SE.
Since 2019, Thomas Dederichs has held various management positions at Amprion GmbH - most recently as Head of System Development.
