Julia Prescot

Co-Founder at Meridiam, Chair of the National Infrastructure and Service Transformation Authority (NISTA)

Julia is co-founder of Meridiam, a leading global investor and asset manager founded in 2005, specializing in investment in public and community infrastructure, particularly greenfield projects. Having worked for much of her career in international private sector environments, Julia has transferred to undertaking public sector roles, and was recently appointed as Chair of the National Infrastructure and Service Transformation Authority (NISTA) based in HM Treasury in London having previously been Deputy Chair of the UK’s National Infrastructure Commission. She is also Deputy Chair at the Port of Tyne in Newcastle, Chair of IPFA (a global not for profit professional association focusing on practitioners in infrastructure and energy), Chair of Neuconnect (a new energy interconnector between UK and Germany) and a non-executive director at Wilton Park (an executive agency of the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office facilitating international policy dialogue). 


She has previously held a number of non executive director positions in national and global organisations.

 

Julia is delivery focussed and brings expertise in the development and execution of major economic and social infrastructure projects, allied to deep private finance knowledge and extensive relationships with investors, construction companies, and operators.


Julia was awarded a CBE in the King’s Birthday Honours List in 2024, and was made an Honorary Fellow of University College London in 2025 where she is also an Honorary Professor.
